There’s more to your project than the final look

The last paver was installed and you can finally rest knowing that your project is done and that it will last a long time. But will it?

In interlocking and paving there are some preliminary steps that are crucial for the longevity of the project. For example, during the excavation process, if the ground is not dug deep enough, it will create dipping areas in the future as weight bears on top. Also, the base should include gravel or a similar aggregate which should be compacted every inch or two to create a sturdy base on which the stones or asphalt will lay later.

Skipping or completing these steps are often things which the customer is not aware of, and the final look of the project does not reflect on the integrity of the job for years to come. The truth lies with the company that installed the project. Digging quicker and shallower, misuse of materials and not compacting enough are only some of the examples where shortcuts can be taken. Accountability is crucial but unfortunately, it doesn’t exist much in this area of construction, so one is left in search of a reliable company- a company that you can trust even if you don’t understand all the ins and outs of every project.
